| We shall detail the proof of a quantitative nonvanishing result which concerns the special derivatives occuring in the Gross-Zagier formula. This was recently conjectured by Michel-Venkatesh. Our method relies on two classical equidistribution Theorems in arithmetic geometry. An application to Heegner points on elliptic curves will be discussed and compared to nearby results. If time permits we shall explain how to refine these results with another approach from analytic number theory. |
